The Extension application is where extensions are applied in your profiles or in team extension groups for team-wide usage.
1. My extensions
This section displays all extensions that you, as an individual user, have personally uploaded or added to your MostLogin account. It provides a quick overview of the extensions you are using for your profiles. You can manage or remove these individual extensions from here.
1.1 Upload an extension to My extensions
1.1.1 Upload from Chrome Store link
Under the Chrome Store link radio tab, paste or enter the Chrome web store link of the extension you'd like to upload.
Click [Fetch info] button, and you can preview the extension extracted.
You can remove the link and go back to entering the link again by clicking the trash can icon (ποΈ) next to the URL field.
Version:
This field will typically be auto-populated with the current version of the extension pulled from the Chrome Store link. You can review it.
Extension icon:
This will usually display "Auto-Detected" with the extension's icon pulled from the Chrome Store link.
Extension name*:
This field will be pre-filled with the official name of the extension from the Chrome Store. This cannot be edited.
Description*:
This text area will be pre-filled with the official description of the extension from the Chrome Store. This cannot be edited.
1.1.2 Upload local file
You can also upload a local extension file. Click the [Installation package] radio button.
Locate the blue dashed box with the text "Click or drag file here to upload" and "Your file will be automatically parsed".
Method A: Click to Upload
Click anywhere within this blue dashed box.
A file explorer window will open. Navigate to the location on your computer where your extension installation package (e.g., a
.crx
file) is saved.Select the file and click "Open" (or similar button) to begin the upload.
Method B: Drag and Drop
Open your file explorer or desktop and locate the extension installation package file.
Drag the file directly from your computer into the blue dashed box in the "Upload extension" window. Release the mouse button to drop the file.
Automatic Parsing: Once you upload the file, MostLogin will automatically attempt to parse its contents to extract information like the version, icon, name, and description.
Review and Fill in Extension Details
After the file is uploaded and parsed, the following fields will appear or require your input:
Version:
This field will be automatically populated if the version information is successfully extracted from your package.
Extension icon:
This field will display the icon if it was successfully extracted from your uploaded package.
Extension name*:
It will be automatically populated if the name is successfully extracted from your package.
Description*:
It will be automatically populated if the description is successfully extracted from your package.
Click [Confirm] to save your edit.
2. Team Extensions
This section is designed for collaborative environments, allowing you to manage extensions for your team. It categorizes extensions by "Group," making it easy to organize and assign them to specific team members or sets of profiles.
2.1 Add group
For creating new categories to organize team extensions.
Click the [Add group] button to open popup window
From the "Extensions" tab, within the "Team extensions" section, click the "Add group" button. This will open the "Add group" modal window.
Enter group name
Group*: This is a required field. In the input box labeled "Please enter group name", type a descriptive name for your new extension group.
Character Limit: You can enter up to 30 characters for the group name (indicated by "0 / 30").
Choose a name that clearly indicates the purpose or content of the extensions within this group (e.g., "Social Media Tools," "SEO Extensions," "Marketing Suite").
Select extensions for the Group
Below the Group Name field, you will see a list of all extensions that have already been added to your MostLogin account.
Confirm your new group
Once you have named your group and selected all the desired extensions, click the "Confirm" button at the bottom right of the window.
This will create the new extension group, which will then appear in the "Team extensions" table on the "Extension application" tab.
2.2 Upload an extension
Uploading extensions to Team extension groups is the same as uploading to My extensions.
2.3 Assign groups
Give extension groups' access to specific team members.
Note: The members you can assign groups to are members you can view. For example, members with "full data access" can view all team members.
2.4 Unassign groups
Remove extension groups from team members.
Access the "Unassign groups" function
Navigate to the "Extensions" tab in your MostLogin dashboard.
Select the groups you want to unassign.
Under the "Team extensions" section, click the "Unassign groups" button. This will open the "Unassign groups" modal window.
Unassign groups
At the top of the "Unassign groups" window, you will see a "Selected extensions" section.
This section lists the extension groups that are currently selected for unassignment.
Choose team members to unassign from
Select all: You can click the "Select all" checkbox to unassign the chosen extension groups from every team member listed.
Individual Selection: To unassign from specific team member, click the checkbox next to each team member.
Click the [Confirm] button to continue.
2.5 Edit an extension group
If you want to edit an extension group's Group name, or it's extensions, click the [Edit] icon.
A popup window will display it's current information. You can edit the Group name, select or deselect it's extensions. Click [Confirm] to save your edit.
2.6 Delete an extension group
Confirming or Cancelling the Deletion
Confirm: If you understand the implications and wish to proceed with deleting the extension group, click the "Confirm" button.
The group will be removed from your "Team extensions" list.
Its association with any profiles will be severed, and the extensions within that group will no longer load for those profiles.
