Feature Guide: Personal Bookmarks

Overview

The Personal Bookmarks feature allows you to upload a standardized list of bookmarks that will automatically appear in your browser profiles. This ensures you always have quick access to essential tools and sites without needing to set them up manually for every new profile.

1. How to Import Bookmarks

There are two ways to add bookmarks to your system.

Option A: Upload an HTML File (Recommended)

If you have exported bookmarks from Chrome, Firefox, or Edge, they are usually saved as an .html file.

  • Navigate to the Personal bookmarks tab.

  • Locate the Upload / Edit box.

  • Drag and drop your .html file into the dashed box area, or click browse to select the file from your computer.

Option B: Add via Plain Text

If you have a list of URLs, you can paste them directly.

  • Click the text link "Or click to add as plain text" inside the upload box.

  • Paste your URLs into the input field that appears.

  • Ensure each URL is on a new line.

Note: After uploading or pasting, your bookmarks will appear in the "Current" section below.

Saving Your Changes

Once your bookmarks are visible in the "Current" list, you must click the blue Save button at the bottom of the screen to apply changes.

2. Understanding Bookmark Logic & Preferences

Because MostLogin antidetect browser used by teams, there is a hierarchy of settings that determines whether your personal bookmarks are actually displayed in a specific profile.

The Hierarchy of Rules

The application of bookmarks follows this priority order:

  • Top Priority: Profile Specific Settings

    • "Enable": If a specific profile is set to "Enable," bookmarks are forced ON for everyone using that profile (overrides individual preferences).

    • "Disable": If a specific profile is set to "Disable," bookmarks are forced OFF (overrides individual preferences).

  • Standard Priority: "Preference" Mode

    • If the profile setting is set to "Preference" (default), which can be set in Settings - Global settings - Preferences, the browser looks at your individual setting.

    • If you have uploaded Personal Bookmarks here, they will show.

    • Note: You can turn this off globally for yourself by going to Settings - Global settings and selecting "Don't use".

FAQ

Q: I uploaded my bookmarks, but they aren't showing up in my browser profile.

A: Check the profile configuration. If the profile is explicitly set to "Disable", it will block your personal bookmarks regardless of your upload. Additionally, check Settings - Global settings to ensure you haven't selected "Don't use."

Q: Can I use a CSV file?

A: Currently, the system supports .html files (standard browser export) or plain text input. Please convert your CSV to one of these formats before uploading.
