The "Global settings" section allows you to configure application-wide preferences that affect all your profiles, including synchronization options, content blocking, and other general behaviors.
To access these settings, click on the "Settings" option in the left-hand navigation pane, and then select the "Global settings" tab at the top.
1. Synchronization
This section allows you to choose which types of data are synchronized across your MostLogin profiles (assuming you have a synchronization feature enabled, likely cloud-based).
Local storage: Check this box to synchronize local storage data for your profiles. Local storage is often used by websites to store data locally on your browser.
History: Check this box to synchronize your Browse history across profiles.
Extensions data: Check this box to synchronize data from your installed browser extensions.
IndexedDB: Check this box to synchronize data stored in IndexedDB, a low-level API for client-side storage of significant amounts of structured data, including files/blobs.
2. Block
This section allows you to block certain types of content or functionalities globally across all your profiles, which can help improve performance or privacy.
Loading images Check this box to prevent images from loading on websites across all profiles. This can speed up Browse on slow connections.
Playing video: Check this box to prevent videos from playing automatically or at all on websites across all profiles.
Notification popup: Check this box to block website notification pop-ups.
Save password popup: Check this box to prevent browsers from showing the "Save password" pop-up.
Site sound: Check this box to mute all sounds from websites across all profiles.
Site clipboard access: Check this box to prevent websites from accessing your clipboard.
Google Translate: Check this box to disable the Google Translate feature or pop-up.
3. Preferences
Profile Open Preferences
These settings determine when and how your profiles will open, with a focus on security and privacy protection.
Do not open on proxy network error
Status: Disabled by default
When enabled, this setting prevents your profile from opening if the proxy connection fails. This protects your real IP address from being exposed when you intend to browse through a proxy network.
When to enable: If you require proxy protection for privacy or security reasons and want to ensure your real IP is never exposed.
Do not open profiles if proxy IP changes (any change)
Status: Disabled by default
This setting blocks the profile from opening whenever any change in the proxy IP address is detected, regardless of the reason for the change.
When to enable: If you need consistent IP addresses for your browsing sessions and want to prevent accidental exposure through IP changes.
Do not open profiles if proxy IP country/region changes
Status: Disabled by default
The profile will not open if the proxy IP's country or region changes from what was previously used. This is less restrictive than monitoring all IP changes, focusing only on geographic location shifts.
When to enable: If you need to maintain a consistent geographic location for your browsing activities, such as accessing region-specific content or services.
Do not open profiles when synchronization fails
Status: Disabled by default
When enabled, this prevents the profile from opening if synchronization of local storage, browsing history, extension data, or indexedDB fails.
When to enable: If data consistency across sessions is critical to your workflow and you want to avoid working with potentially outdated or incomplete data.
Profile Use Preferences
These settings control how profiles function during use and affect performance, privacy, and collaboration features.
Delete cache files after closing profiles
Status: Disabled by default
Automatically removes cache files when you close a profile, keeping the profile lightweight and freeing up disk space.
Pros: Maintains profile performance, saves storage space, enhances privacy Cons: May slow down subsequent page loads as cache needs to rebuild
When to enable: If you prioritize privacy and storage space over loading speed, or if you use many profiles and want to minimize disk usage.
Random fingerprint each time the profiles are opened
Status: Disabled by default
Generates a new browser fingerprint every time you start a profile, making it harder for websites to track you across sessions.
When to enable: If you need maximum anti-tracking protection and don't require consistent fingerprints for website functionality.
Note: May cause issues with websites that use fingerprinting for security or authentication purposes.
GPU acceleration (when applicable)
Status: Enabled by default ✓
Enables hardware acceleration using your graphics card to improve browser performance, particularly for graphics-intensive tasks like video playback and WebGL content.
When to disable: If you experience graphics glitches or driver compatibility issues, or if you want to reduce GPU usage.
Release memory from inactive tabs for active tabs and applications
Status: Disabled by default
Automatically frees up memory from tabs you're not actively using, allocating it to active tabs and applications for smoother performance.
When to enable: If you often have many tabs open or experience performance issues with limited system memory.
Note: Inactive tabs may reload when you switch back to them.
Multi-open of profiles by team members
Status: Enabled by default ✓
Allows multiple team members to use profiles simultaneously. When preferences conflict between team members, the profile folder owner's preferences take precedence.
When to disable: If you need exclusive access to profiles or want to prevent concurrent usage that might cause conflicts.
Open console when opening profiles
Status: Enabled by default ✓
Automatically opens a separate tab showing basic profile information, including proxy connection status, when you launch a profile.
When to disable: If you don't need to monitor profile status and want a cleaner workspace.
Benefits: Provides immediate visibility into profile configuration and connection status, useful for troubleshooting.
Use personal universal bookmarks
Status: Enabled by default ✓
When creating new profiles with the bookmark setting "Follow preference," your personal bookmarks will be automatically applied to those profiles.
Best Practices
For Maximum Privacy:
Enable "Random fingerprint each time the profiles are opened"
Enable "Delete cache files after closing profiles"
Enable relevant proxy protection settings based on your needs
For Team Collaboration:
Keep "Multi-open of profiles by team members" enabled
Coordinate with team members on shared preferences
Use "Open console when opening profiles" to verify configurations
For Performance:
Keep "GPU acceleration" enabled unless experiencing issues
Enable "Release memory from inactive tabs" if you multitask heavily
Consider disabling cache deletion if you frequently revisit the same sites
For Reliability:
Enable proxy-related protections if proxy connectivity is essential
Enable "Do not open profiles when synchronization fails" for critical workflows
Monitor console output to catch issues early
Troubleshooting
Profile won't open:
Check if any "Do not open" preferences are enabled
Verify proxy settings if proxy-related restrictions are active
Check console output for error messages
Performance issues:
Enable "Release memory from inactive tabs"
Disable "GPU acceleration" if experiencing graphics problems
Clear cache manually if "Delete cache files" is disabled
Synchronization problems:
Disable "Do not open profiles when synchronization fails" temporarily
Check network connectivity
Verify account permissions for team profiles
Save Button
Save (Blue Button): After making any changes in the "Global settings" tab, it is crucial to click this button to apply and save your changes. If you navigate away from the tab without saving, your modifications will be lost.
