The Change owner feature allows you to reassign ownership of a folder to another team member. This is useful for managing responsibilities within your team or reorganizing folder access.

1. Change one folder's owner

How to change the owner of a folder?

  • Navigate to the Folders tab.

  • Locate the folder you want to update.

  • Click the three-dot menu (⋮) on the folder card.

  • Select Change owner from the dropdown menu.

⚠️ Warning: You can only change a folder's owner if you have the operation permission to do so.

  • You are the team owner.

  • You have full data access.

  • You are the current folder owner's supervisor.

Following steps:

  • In the pop-up window, choose the new owner from the list of available team members.

  • Click Confirm to finalize the change.

2. Change multiple folders' owner

You can update the ownership of multiple folders at once using the batch operations menu. This is helpful when reorganizing team roles or reassigning project ownership at scale.

How to change the owners of multiple folders?

  • Go to the Folders tab.

  • Select the checkboxes next to all folders you want to reassign.

  • Click the Batch ops button at the top.

  • From the dropdown menu, select Change owner.

  • In the pop-up window, choose the new owner from the list of available team members (same as in Change one folder's owner).

  • Click Confirm to complete the ownership transfer.
